Simon Dodd, CEO of RLA Group, has been appointed as IPA Vice-Chairman of the Regions.
Dodd will assist Mike Leeson, Managing Director of Golley Slater, in his Chairmanship of the Group, which promotes the value of work undertaken by regional agencies and provides a forum for the IPA’s 90-plus regional members through a programme of annual meetings held around the country.
Says Dodd, “I am delighted to have been elected into this role and look forward to promoting the value of IPA membership to the regions and to heightening the profile and prestige of our agencies to both the industry and clients.
Says Leeson, “Simon brings a rare blend of experience, having worked on national business in London and now national, regional as well as UK network business at RLA. He also brings a tremendous energy and passion for the IPA, which will help in our task of providing real, tangible benefits to our members in the regions over the next few years.”

Prior to Simon’s current role as CEO of the RLA Group (Bournemouth, Belfast and London), he has held a number of key industry positions including: Managing Director, MBA (integrated agency within TBWA); Partner TBWA\London; Marketing Director, In Real Life; Client Services Director, SMI; Board Account Director, McBains (integrated arm of AMV.BBDO); Account Director, Yellowham-mer and Trainee Account Executive, Martin Tait Redheads.
