Taking the Digital Performance Certificate gives candidates a thorough understanding of each of the key disciplines in digital marketing, providing them with background knowledge that will enable them to hold their own within their team and in client meetings. From the history of Google’s algorithm updates, to the techniques you should use when planning paid social, this course packs years of industry knowledge into 10 hours of study time.

This new qualification, launching September 2018, is a foundation-level qualification for those with less than 1 years’ experience in digital marketing/advertising. The perfect companion to the IPA Foundation Certificate.

As an introductory offer, all candidates booked for the December examination will receive a complimentary copy of Performance Partnerships by Robert Glazer, one of the qualification’s recommended readings.

The IPA Digital Performance Certificate provides candidates with a shortcut to the big picture of digital performance marketing. Written by practitioners for practitioners, the IPA Digital Performance Certificate is the only IPA accredited qualification in this field of expertise. Not only is this qualification suitable for those in their first year within in a digital agency or specialist department, it would also benefit any individual looking to build or refresh their knowledge in digital performance marketing. Candidates will graduate better able to brief, plan and execute digital marketing campaigns, regardless of their agency background.

Putting new joiners through the qualification will not only take the pressure off more senior staff, but give your new joiners a self-service learning platform where they can build confidence by developing knowledge away from their day-to-day team environment.


10 hours of online learning, culminating in a formal closed-book 70-minute online exam.

A mandatory multiple choice assessment must be passed before the exam date.This assessment can be re-attempted as needed until a pass grade is met. If the candidate does not pass the multiple choice assessment by their exam time and date, the final exam will not become visible to them and they must follow deferral or cancellation policy.

Candidates can access and download the learning through this web page on any device, or via the IPA Learning app.

All of the IPA's online learning is built mobile-friendly, but this is our first qualification to be built mobile-first, both in terms of mobile browser and mobile app. It is available world-wide and on-the-go via the IPA Learning app. The app works offline by downloading the lessons to your device.
