Production Talks - London

The IPA has launched a series of Production Talks taking place on Thursday evenings from March to October 2017.

With the role of the agency producer ever expanding, these talks aim to help inform and inspire the craft of production. We hear from experts using the latest technology, covering areas such as Virtual Reality Production, experiential events, through to practical issues such as filming fully integrated campaigns and filming in London.

The talks provide an opportunity to hear about the latest trends over a glass of wine and ask questions of the experts currently working in these fields.

Thursday 9th March - What you need to know about licensed advertising with David Born, Director at Born Licensing

For anyone who may have a script hit their desks that opens with:

Our characters resemble the men in The Usual Suspects,

or the film will look like the opening scene of The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

or we open on a live action version of Toad, from Toad Hall, on the Yellow Brick Road……….

The area of licensing ideas, characters & likenesses , catch phrases and existing footage is often a mine field. So the IPA have invited David Born, Born Licensing , to chat about the different types of licensing, the risks, the processes, the costs and brand assurance processes, followed by a Q & A session with drinks.

Topics for the following talks will be added nearer the time:

Thursday 27th April
Thursday 8th June
Thursday 27th July
Thursday 7th Sep
Thursday 26th October

Tickets cost £25 + VAT for IPA members.
Registration will begin at 6.00pm, followed by drinks and the talk will commence at 6.30pm and end by 8.00pm.
Please note, bookings requesting to be paid by invoice will incur a 10% administration fee.
