What we're looking for: a Receptionist/Front of House/Ringmaster
What that means: Creature is looking for a bright, smart, ambitious, and all-the-other-adjectives-you'd-expect-to-find-at-this-point-in-a-job-description-of-this-type individual to come and be the first person ever to look after our reception desk (we're in the process of buying a reception desk). Said person should be organised, ambitious, overflowing with initiative, and, ideally, really funny.
It's also worth calling out that we're not remotely bothered about degrees or qualifications or how old you are or anything like that - we just want you to be interesting, and interested, and passionate about making this place feel amazing.
There are three main elements to the job:
1. Stewarding Creature's front desk, and presenting a friendly and welcome face to anyone who comes in, be they senior client, junior creative team, officious delivery person, or confused beekeeper.
2. Supporting the Office Wrangler to ensure that the office is running smoothly, that everything is as it should be, that meeting rooms are looked after, and that the zoo is generally in good order. Creative chaos is a brilliant thing: actual chaos gets REALLY annoying.
3. Looking after Dan, Gibbo, Ben & Stu's diaries (and doing some minor admin - expenses, etc.), to avoid them and/or people trying to get meetings with them getting all stressed and disappointed. IMPORTANT NOTE: DABS are generally a good bunch of humans, and take significantly less looking after than a lot of other people (apart from Ben).
The most important thing to note is that this person will be the first face people see when they enter Creature's world, and that they will be setting the tone for everything that follows. Set the bar high with the greeting, and the rest of it tends to go brilliantly.
Creature of London is an independent advertising agency and creative company based in Shoreditch, working with a wide variety of clients, including Tetley, Anchor, Photobox, Collect+, Charlie Bigham's, the British Red Cross, Mission Foods, Carwow, and more. They've also been known to make the odd piece of immersive theatre, and the occasional TV program.
£22k basic, plus full Creature benefits package, which includes private healthcare, 22 days of holiday (and all the bank holidays), your birthday off, company pension, cycle-to-work scheme, and a whole host of other fun/useful stuff. Oh, and we close the office on Halloween.
