Adland receives honours

Nigel Bogle and Peter Mead are among those receiving recognition in the Queen’s birthday honours list.

Nigel Bogle, co-founder and chairman of IPA member agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty, was given a knighthood for services to the advertising industry. Bogle’s knighthood follows that of fellow BBH co-founder Sir John Hegarty in 2007.

Peter Mead, co-founder of IPA member agency Abbott Mead Vickers, was given a CBE for services to the creative industries.

Says Paul Bainsfair, Director General, IPA: “We would like to offer our congratulations to Nigel for his knighthood and Peter for his CBE. It is great to see the creative and advertising industries being honoured and recognised in the highest way.”
