BJL’s Jackie Holt appointed as IPA’s North West City Head
In her role as City Head Jackie will engage with IPA members and her fellow city heads (Phil Coverdale, Andy Reid and Andrew Wilson) as well as Ben Quigley IPA Chairman E&W (England & Wales) to raise awareness of industry issues and support IPA initiatives. Jackie will also engage with new talent in the North West.
Says Jackie Holt, Managing Partner, BJL, “BJL has always been a visible supporter of the IPA on the local, national and international stage – so it’s a great honour for me to champion our industry in the North West. We’re all so lucky to work in such a dynamic, creative and ever evolving sector. As new City Head I therefore look forward to celebrating this, to sharing our learnings and combined talent, and to continuously raising the bar.”
Jackie succeeds Peter Craven, Managing Partner, Madhouse who was North West City Head for just under two years.
Jackie’s career in marketing and communications spans over 30 years. Jackie started her advertising career at JWT working on Asda in the bygone days of ‘Asda Price’, she then moved to a specialist B2B agency. Jackie worked closely with Sage through the 80’s and 90’s on both agency and client-side. She then joined BJL where she developed a passion for travel, tourism and leisure – working with hotels, airlines, holidays and theme parks. Jackie was part of the BJL management buyout in 2004, and with her two partners, Nicky Unsworth and Iain Kerr, has guided the agency growth to an 80-strong independent, with a Manchester and London presence.
