Build strong foundations for your agency career

To equip yourself, or your entry-level colleagues, with the essential knowledge to perform your role with confidence and expertise, sign up to the Foundation Certificate - the industry’s key entry level qualification. Book your place on the exam by 3rd February.

The award-winning certificate involves the completion of an online learning programme, taking participants through the entire brand communications process from client brief to final execution and evaluation, followed by an offline exam, which this year takes place on Monday 24th February 2014. The results will be published in the trade press, and celebrated at an industry drinks party.

Says former Learning and Development Manager at AMV BBDO, Hannah Pater: “Those who do the Foundation Certificate all say that all the hard work you put in is worth it as it gives you a thorough overview of how our industry works. From an agency point of view, the online training is free and the exam is low-cost so it’s hard to see a reason not to encourage as many people as possible to get involved.”

Says Patrick Mills, Director of Professional Development, IPA, “Since junior agency practitioners first sat the exam in 2004, the Foundation Certificate has become the benchmark qualification for junior adlanders. Since its launch, over 6000 people have passed the qualification and the learning is now also open to clients and to agencies globally. This is a great testament to the quality of the certificate and the fantastic grounding it gives all new starters in the industry.”
