Creative Pioneers Challenge launches in Manchester
Focussing on apprenticeships, the 2014 Challenge will aim to attract more school leavers into the industry by offering 12-month training contracts. Manchester based agencies that have signed up are, BJL, Delineo, Madhouse, MEC, TBWA, C21, Access, Republic of media and One Marketing have all signed up to take on an apprentice when the search begins next year. The process of recruiting the apprentices will be supported by training partners The Manchester College and Mediasmiths.
As well as being available in Manchester, the scheme also runs in London, Birmingham and Bristol.
Says Peter Craven, Managing Partner, Madhouse and IPA City Head for Manchester: “When I took my position as IPA City Head earlier in the year I wanted to lead with an apprenticeship scheme, so I am delighted that some agencies have united and the scheme will be ready in time for September 2014 college graduates.
“Apprenticeships are a great way to engage with emerging talent at young age and the Creative Pioneers Manchester scheme should be very appealing for 18-years-old to have on the job training whilst working towards a tailor-made qualification.”
What’s in it for agencies interested in taking part?
