IPA elects six new members – December 2013
Founded in 2011, 101 is a creative agency based in London. Its clients include Diageo, Innocent and Scottish Widows.
Says Steve Waring, Commercial Director and Partner, 101: “We are keen to reap the range of benefits that are on offer by being an IPA member. We see staff development as vital to our business and are fully committed to growing our team's knowledge and understanding of the market. We see the PD department at the IPA as crucial in helping us with this commitment. We are also keen to access the legal and information resources available at the IPA and know from our previous experience that these are a invaluable aid in supporting our commercial development.”
Founded in 2012, Above+Beyond is a creative agency specialising in above the line, brand response campaigns for predominantly digital brands. Its clients include Amazon, Betway and LOVEFiLM.
Says Nic Ost, Managing Partner, Above+Beyond: “When you're a young agency, with a start-up culture - particularly one that specialises in servicing digital brands, a notoriously fast-moving marketplace – you are, by necessity, fluid. We can't trade on reputation; we don't have a set way of doing things and calcified processes; we need to respond to client demand and market opportunities three times as fast as more established competitors to even be in with a chance. Given this, it's imperative to have a partnership with an organisation that has the longer view; that can advise on best practice; that, whilst we're ducking in and out of the trees, can see the woods. That organisation, for us, is the IPA.”
Amnet is Aegis Media's digital trading desk offering Aegis’ clients targeted audiences, at scale, in real time and across online display, video and mobile.
Says Steve Hobbs, UK MD, Amnet: “We are excited at the prospect of gaining access to the IPA offerings bringing Amnet in alignment with the other Dentsu Aegis Network brands. As a growing brand we are keen to offer our employees the same high standards of professional development that the IPA offers which I have no doubt will further improve our value to clients.”
Founded in 2010, Forever Beta is an independent, integrated creative agency. Its clients include Google, Mizuno and LG.
Says Robin Gadsby, CEO, Forever Beta: “The vast experience the IPA has to offer, advice and resources make it the perfect partner to help us to move our business forward. We have turned a corner as an agency strategically and creatively working with some of the most innovative brands and we need all the resources possible and access on a regular basis to deliver on our promise not only to our people but the brands that employ us.”
M4C is the sole media buying agency for all of the UK government’s paid for media activity, working with clients ranging from Public Health England, HMRC and the Armed Forces.
Says Pete Kemp, Managing Director, M4C: “M4C wishes to become a member of the IPA (like our sister agencies in GroupM) so that we too are part of a credible industry body that promotes the sector on behalf of WPP and its clients. It’ll also allow us to access training for our staff and keep us abreast of any industry developments.”
Founded in 1996, Mason Zimbler is an international technology marketing agency whose clients include Microsoft, IBM and Samsung.
Says James Trezona, Managing Director, Mason Zimbler: “Mason Zimbler has a strong ethos of investing in our people. As a service-led business we're only as good as the people in it. The IPA gives us the ability to extend that investment with the skills and industry training it offers, as well as industry-specific legal advice and the strategic support from the insights department. From a client's perspective, it adds an extra credibility. As a prominent voice in the industry, joining the IPA allows us to contribute to the debate on some of the most important industry issues.”
