IPA Foundation Certificate learning now open
The IPA Foundation Certificate is part of the IPA’s Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programme, designed to give agency practitioners a thorough understanding of the brand communication process from start to finish. Topics covered include marketing, client service, research, evaluation, communications strategy, ideas and execution.
The course primarily targets new recruits during their first year and aims to build on the learning junior practitioners have already acquired – whether from studies, or in an agency/client, through on the job training, external training or further education courses. Since its launch almost 10 years ago, almost 6,000 industry practitioners have passed.
Written by top industry practitioners, the Foundation Certificate has not only been updated to reflect the latest developments in the world of advertising, it is also being delivered using Learning Paths, a blend of online methods that create the optimal conditions for learning. You’ll be able to pace your own progress, connect with other learners through discussions and apply your learning directly to your real work challenges, through assignments.
Says Patrick Mills, Professional Development Director, IPA: “The Foundation Certificate equips new starters with an invaluable understanding of the inner workings of the industry, successfully transferring knowledge and expertise from one generation to another. Opening the learning to clients as well is a great testament to the quality of the certificate and the fantastic grounding it can give all new starters in the industry, whether client or agency side.”
The next IPA Foundation Certificate Exam will take place on Monday 24th February 2014 with the bookings now open. For more information contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
