J. Walter Thompson’s Tom Rayfield passes away

The IPA is saddened to learn that Tom Rayfield,a long-standing creative at J. Walter Thompson, passed away last week.


Tom started his career at J. Walter Thompson as a copywriter, but after a short break at other agencies returned to head up its creative groups. During his time at the agency he worked on a number of campaigns including Guinness and Kellogg’s. In the years before his retirement, he set up JWT Direct with David Millar and also produced the unofficial history of JWT London, Fifty at Forty.

Funeral details

All are welcome, with Rosie requesting that she would like people to wear bright clothes and happy faces.

Date:  Monday 11th May

Time:   2.15 p.m.

Place: Oxford Crematorium, Bayswater Road, Oxford, OX3 9RZ.
