Mark Lund to chair new IPA Business Leadership Programme
Says Mark Lund: “Leading a business is something that suddenly and dramatically changes your role and your life, regardless of what you've been doing before. It's one of the most exciting things you can do but it can also be a scary and lonely place to be. This programme is designed to provide a springboard into the role if you're aspiring to it and a support if you're already doing it. It's the only one of its kind and we believe it will create a powerful peer network as well as providing the grounding in what it takes to be an agency business leader.”
The new course starts on 25th September and takes place over 7 evening sessions, after working hours between 5.30pm and 8pm (at a total cost of £1,000 per person). It focuses on: leadership, board governance and responsibilities, how to create asset values in your business, management accounts, creating a creative culture and how the tech revolution will impact agency businesses in the future. Each session will be chaired by leading industry experts including; Charles Fallon of SI Partners, Mandy Merron of Kingston Smith, David Meikle of Red Salt, Jon Leach of Chime and Allister Frost, former Head of Digital at Microsoft and Digital Personality of the Year 2013.
The aim is to arm the future CEOs of agencies (who are now just the rung below that) with the tools to succeed in an increasingly challenging environment and for them to establish a network of peers at a similar level with whom they can confide and share the wisdom of experience.
Some former stage 7 alumni include: Karina Wilshire, Danielli Fiandaca, Mark Cridge, Sophie Maunder-Allen, Jonathan Mildenhall, Andrew McGuinness, Pippa Glucklitch, Wayne Arnold to name but a few.
