PRCA joins forces with IPA/Metro Creative Pioneers Challenge 2014
As part of the Challenge, PRCA members will be providing individuals with the opportunity of a 12-month apprenticeship within leading PR agencies.
Says Francis Ingham, Director General, PRCA: “The PRCA has successfully placed 78 apprentices since 2012 and we are attracted by the success of Creative Pioneers in terms of profile and growth, and its support programme of mentoring and events for apprentices.”
Says Janet Hull, Executive Director Creative Pioneers Challenge and IPA Director of Marketing: “The IPA and PRCA both have a lot in common - from taking mainly corporate members, to sitting on Creative Skillset Advertising and Marcomms Skills Council, to developing Level 4 apprenticeship frameworks. The two trade associations have lots of crossover in terms of skill sets they are looking for, and share a training provider in Creative Process and so it makes perfect sense to have joined forces on the Creative Pioneers Challenge. Ultimately it is a win/win situation for our industry and for those talented individuals looking to make the first positive step on their career path.”
As well as running in London, the scheme will also run in Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol. Agencies who would like to find out more about the challenge, or who are interested in taking on an apprentice can email Leila@ipa.co.uk. The deadline for companies to register their interest is 20th January 2014.
