Chief Strategy Officer, APAC, Dentsu
Michael leads the strategy function for Dentsu's creative agencies across Asia Pacific, building a 21st century planning capability designed to grow brands in the modern economy. He is responsible for the strategic capability of more than 30 offices in 17 markets around the region.
Originally hailing from the UK, Michael has lived in and learned from three different regions (Europe, APAC, and North America), and worked in-depth across all.
With a background on both Agency and Client-side, he has hands-on experience leading some of the world’s most powerful, dynamic and meaningful brands. Prior to joining Dentsu, he led Global Brand Strategy and Creative at a Category level at Mondelez, and has worked at Agencies such as TBWA, JWT and Publicis.
He is a regular industry speaker, contributor and judge at effectiveness and strategy awards, most recently serving as a jury member for the 2019 Cannes Lions for Creative Effectiveness. He is passionate about the power of brands to help businesses and marketers thrive in today’s complex and fast-changing communications landscape.
