Agile Working in a Lockdown Era

A guide for frazzled employers to frequently encountered remote working employment issues

Many jobs have been done remotely for the first time, and the concept of rigid working hours has been questioned as people fit their work around childcare, home schooling and other responsibilities – making it more difficult for employers to say that these types of arrangement are not possible.

This session will look at how to handle flexible working requests, both in the latest lockdown circumstances and more particularly, in the post-lockdown world.  This is along with the challenges presented by employees asking for more complex, bespoke agile working options, such as working remotely from abroad.

Juliet Bawtree, Associate Director, Employment Law at the IPA, will be joined by speakers from the Employment Team at law firm, Lewis Silkin, to cover key issues such as:

  • The current ‘Covid’ position on working from home.
  • The legal fundamentals for dealing with flexible working requests.
  • Home schooling whilst home working.  What are an employer’s obligations?
  • Implications of ‘working from abroad’ requests.

A limited amount of time will be reserved for questions at the end of the session. Please email in advance of the webinar with any specific questions you would like raised.

This session is for IPA Members only, and is most suitable for those in Finance, HR. Operations and Management roles.

Your joining link will be sent separately prior to the session.
