Are you IR35 Ready?

Equipping agency finance, operations and HR staff with a plan and the requisite knowledge for getting IR35 ready.

From April 2020, fundamental IR35 reform will apply to businesses in the private sector. The new regime for combatting so called ‘false self-employment’, will mean that agencies engaging freelancers will bear responsibility for assessing whether IR35 rules apply to freelancers that they engage. If they do, that agency will be responsible for operating PAYE/NICs.

This will be an agency-bespoke seminar with guest speakers, Lucy Lewis and Matthew Rowbotham, both Partners at the law firm, Lewis Silkin.

This practical session will:

  • Set out the new rules
  • Provide information about how it is envisaged HMRC will apply the new regime
  • Provide tips on pre-empting problems
  • Look at lessons learned from the public sector where these rules have been applied since 2017
  • The objective of this breakfast seminar is equipping agency finance, operations and HR staff with a plan and the requisite knowledge for getting IR35 ready.
