The Power of Together

Rugby League World Cup

Selling a tournament in the midst of a global pandemic wasn't something customer director Terri Lynam expected she'd be navigating when she joined the RLWC 2021 leadership squad.

Like so many fellow marketeers, Lynam and her team have had to respond with agility and creativity over the last 18 months to launch the tournament on a global stage from its home in the north west.

IPA City Head for Manchester and the North West, Richard Aldiss, Terri Lynam and female England Rugby League player and World Cup ambassador, Jodie Cunningham will be exploring how agility and creativity helped the team to build resilience, and inspire confidence in a constantly changing environment.

Join us to learn how:

  • Building a cohesive team from scratch that works together remotely and for only a short period of time
  • Keeping a team motivated when they are on short term contracts and thinking about their next career move
  • Creating a sense of excitement and anticipation in the UK when there is uncertainty about whether the tournament will even go ahead
  • Creating a ticketing strategy for a sport with limited profile nationally/globally during a world wide pandemic
  • Building a truly diverse and inclusive tournament

Our speakers will also will be taking your questions at the end of the session.
