Investing in adland’s future with Creative Pioneers

Founded by the IPA and delivered by Arch Apprenticeships, Creative Pioneers helps IPA agency members recruit and train talent from a diverse pool.

Creative Pioneers is a programme that recruits, teaches and trains the next generation of marketers, planners, analysts, developers and designers.

Creative Pioneers is an apprenticeship programme led by the IPA and delivered by Arch Apprenticeships to invest into the future generation of advertising.

It works together with advertising and media agencies to create opportunities for school leavers and graduates and upskill existing staff. Since its launch in 2012, the programme has helped to place over 700 young people in more than 200 companies in adland, with over 35% of last year’s cohort coming from ethnically diverse backgrounds. The result is high quality, levy-compliant apprenticeship programmes that will make a bottom-line difference.

Creative Pioneers is supporting participating agencies by:

  • delivering individual training programmes;
  • providing programme management tools;
  • allocating a dedicated account manager to every agency;
  • offering a recruitment service for new hires;
  • developing new apprenticeship programmes for agencies.

Among participating agencies are Dentsu Aegis, Omnicom and McCann working with Creative Pioneers on their next apprenticeships.

Working with the IPA and our agencies to deliver our apprenticeship programme, we believe that developing our apprentices’ creativity is one of the most valuable assets - it is what allows businesses to drive real change.
