Talon has an exciting opportunity for an Account Investment Director to join our market leading Investment team. The successful candidate must have experience working at Account Investment Director level and an extensive knowledge of buying Out-of-Home (OOH) inventory. Strong client and people management skills are essential.
Be responsible for the day to day management of the Investment Manager to ensure they are effectively delivering on all buying KPI’s and delivering a best in class service.
Responsible for the trading and negotiation, agree and control price across your agency/client group.
Work with the Business Director and Client Directors to assist in creating and delivering Investment strategies by client applying commercial thinking throughout the process.
Have an understanding of the PRF and Productivity process and the investment strategies by client.
Working with the Investment Director - Operations and the Performance manager, have overall responsibility for the delivery of all client PRF/productivity guarantees across your set client allocation.
Working with the Performance manager, analyse and attend client audit meetings where applicable.
Work closely with the Performance Manager to fully understand each client’s tracking position and ensure everyone is aware before and after booking any activity.
Working with the Performance Manager, gain a view of auditor pricing as well as standard market pricing across your assigned business area. Apply intelligent thinking when entering market to gain pool advantage.
Comprehensively understand the media owners, their business and be an internal and external brand ambassador.
Maintain strong relationships with all media owner contacts and enhance relationships with more senior contacts.
Provide expertise for the assigned business area, externally and internally communicating any relevant changes in the marketplace.
Maintain strong relationships with all auditors.
Strive for maximum efficiency in plan creation and workflow process.
Actively contribute to tools, systems and communication creation to improve the output of the team.
Develop and grow industry knowledge by attending internal and external training programmes.
Contribute to the training and development of managers and executives within your team and the wider company and find new ways to service the needs of clients and agencies within the portfolio.
Delegate tasks to managers and executives (if within their capabilities) ensuring that the expectations of the Investment Director are met whilst monitoring workload/development of more junior staff.
Endeavour to proactively grow and develop key client business alongside the planning teams.
Skills and Experience:
Experience working at Account Investment Director level.
Extensive knowledge of buying OOH (7+ years).
Relevant experience in an Out of home, media owner and/or agency environment.
Experience of servicing a range of clients/media owners at a senior level.
Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
Superb negotiation skills and innovative trading ability.
Acute attention to detail.
Microsoft office suite skills.
Strong time management and multi-tasking capabilities are essential.
People management experience required.
