Digital Content Manager

Digital Content Manager - Reporting to the SEO Group Head You will play a key role in ensuring that equimedia’s clients have constant stream of quality content to utilise across their owned and earned channels. For the right candidate, this role involves a significant amount of autonomy and will play a large part in shaping the vision of the Content and Social Media Department. The role will also include exposure to new business process and there are currently three direct reports. This role requires individuals with a passion for digital marketing, content and social media who can generate ideas for increasing the web presence of our clients.


Key Responsibilities



  • Direct communication with agency stakeholders and clients, keeping them informed with progress and reporting on completed work/results

  • Managing deadlines with the Content and Social Team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of agreed activity

  • Presenting to client’s key deliverables such as monthly reports, competitor analysis and research documents

  • Briefing and direction of freelance writers, designers and creatives

  • Responsible for maintaining client tone of voice consistency across channels equimedia manage

  • Thorough understanding of client’s business objectives, audience, website and channel KPIs

  • Keep up to date will all appropriate industry developments across content marketing, social media and SEO to ensure that best practice is followed


Specific Role Profile


Departmental Development



  • Review all existing Content and Social training material and identify gaps in training literature that need to be filled

  • Work closely with SEO Group Head to fill gaps in training literature and organise training sessions for the Content and Social Team

  • Develop new processes for Content and Social Team to ensure standardisation and consistency of work


New Business



  • Provide consultation and guidance for potential new business proposals and develop marketing assets for new business proposals and pitches


Content Marketing



  • Responsibility for the accuracy and effectiveness of content produced by the department

  • For content clients, lead the development and management of content strategy including the ownership of content calendars

  • Collaborating with the SEO Manager to translate client briefs into cohesive and innovative approaches and ensuring best practise principles are adhered to

  • Creating and developing new and innovative services along with the SEO Group Head to enhance the Content and Social Media department product offering

  • Conduct content audits/inventories and situation analysis to identify opportunities and areas for content


Social Media



  • Lead the development, delivery and execution of social media strategies and channel plans for clients in line with their business objectives

  • Oversee social media asset creation and asset management

  • Utilise industry standard tools to manage multiple channels

  • Develop, implement and manage successful Influencer relationships to amplify client brands and marketing messages across new, relevant audiences


SEO



  • For SEO clients, working with the SEO Manager to formulate and execute strategy

  • Work with SEO Group Head and SEO manager to proactively develop content amplification tactics

  • Work with SEO team to ensure that content produced by department follows SEO best practice


Continued processional development

Key skills and qualities we are looking for include:



  • Significant demonstrable experience of content marketing

  • Strong SEO experience

  • Comfortable with data/analytics to effectively evaluate and report on project success and achievement of KPI’s

  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently on tasks
