Talon is seeking to appoint a Financial Director to support this growth. Reporting to, and acting as a deputy to the CFO, this position is a key position in the business, responsible for leading the finance function on a day-to-day basis.
Provide leadership and management to the Finance team, ensuring that all staff are fully effective in their roles.
Dealing with a broad range of business and stakeholder objectives in relation to driving performance (including the tracking of KPIs and other business metrics).
Group reporting from a management and Financial perspective, including monthly, quarterly and annual reporting. Lead the external audit process and the preparation of the group Financial statements.
Group budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and consolidation. Working capital and cash flow management and optimisation
Business support and partnering within Talon, including negotiation and pitch support, particularly in relation to the International development of the business.
Due diligence in relation to acquisitions and the preparation of the investment cases to support these investments.
Banking and financing arrangements (including bank relationships and reporting) and Management of foreign exchange and risk management including insurance.
Treasury and tax management, working with external advisers on these as required (including supervising the preparation of the group’s tax returns.
Assisting in managing and coordinating external advisers including legal and corporate finance advisers
Maintaining and monitoring strong and robust financial controls and compliance, policies and procedure
