The role is for a PPC Account Manager to have day to day responsibility for the planning and delivery of innovative, effective paid search campaigns whilst working collaboratively with other internal and external teams to exceed client’s expectations.
The Account Manager works with an Account Executive in being the frontline point-of-call for the client for PPC, driving innovation, managing the performance of the activity as well as the expectations for key agency clients across different verticals and different budget levels.
Someone with excellent Google Shopping knowledge would be preferable and would suit this role.
Develop a thorough understanding of your client’s brand, marketing and business objectives and where search fits within these
Oversee day to day management, planning and activating paid search campaigns for your designated accounts, with the aim of growing the agency revenue
Input into client planning, including ensuring roadmaps and plans are kept up to date and tasks are delivered
Challenge clients & briefs (and yourself) to ensure mutually rewarding client relationships and that a first-class paid search output is delivered at all times
Forecast of on-going as well as future campaigns and support for new account initiatives
Put together Paid Search plans to deliver relevant campaign actions and goals
Agree and deliver the performance, return on investment and other KPIs as per client briefs
Identify and actively seek new product and channel opportunities for your clients
Quality control the output of direct reports, including reviewing work before it’s delivered to clients
Manage bidding strategies across accounts and ensure activity spends to budget whilst also driving expected results
Deliver in-depth analysis to understand performance beyond top line metrics and driving innovation, ideas and strategic guidance across the team
Accurate and timely adherence to your clients finance / invoicing process
Execute and track relevant A/B tests with methodical accuracy
Provide key insights on regular reports, identifying new opportunities for your campaigns
Proactively share insights and opportunities with your client teams to achieve key business objectives, and educate them in your channel where possible
Production of monthly/quarterly review presentations, highlighting key insights into performance
Identify opportunities for business development amongst existing clients, and both up-sell and cross-sell opportunities
Support with new business pitches; be it undertaking audits, building charts or GA reports
Be on top of the latest industry developments & technology in the market and know each supplier’s offerings better than anyone else
Implement Paid Search best practices and contribute to team knowledge sharing
Build an understanding of other digital channels, particularly the mechanics of those key to your clients beyond your core specialism
Proactively look to drive efficiency through automation, junior resource training and optimal resource planning
Work with your peers to input on the broader running of the team, processes, staff appraisals, training and anything else you can think of that will positively contribute to ensuring a happy, effective team
