People Co-ordinator

Job description

After a period of intense strategic and hands on activity bringing Orchard’s PRIME values to life and introducing tools to the businesses, we now need a brilliant Co-ordinator to Join the Team

Duties are spilt into three areas:
1) Recruitment
To manage a database of freelancers
To manage any recruitment campaigns from start to finish
To manage on-boarding / Induction process of all new starters
To support Finance in the promotion and administration of benefits as required
To liaise with legals on new contracts and changes to contracts and file as necessary
Liaise with payroll on all employee changes
To conduct an annual skills audit
To keep employee files up to date to auditable (Home office and GDPR) standards at all times
To meet speculative candidates at all times to keep on database
To support HoT’s with admins and coordination of open evenings if required
To conduct “showarounds” of the business as required

2) Training
To ensure every employee has a 1:1 in April and October by their HoT
To provide administration assistance with this process if required
To manage a £30K training budget
To execute the People calendar by booking trainers, venues, updating employees, conducting analysis with HoT’s on needs and planning with Al’s support the appropriate plan to meet business needs

3) Welfare
To be act as a neutral sounding board and to ‘sign-post’ employees if they wish to understand anything to do with their employment and happiness at Orchard.
To proactively work with HoT’s to understand what would add value commercially to the business
To feel confident at referring to Occupational Health with Directors input as and when required

Necessary skills:
Must have 2/3 years hands on HR experience preferably in a service background
Recruitment experience and management of data is key
Employee relations dispute resolution exposure would be great
Must have a desire to take on additional responsibility over time – to grow with the business.
