Social Designer – McCann Live
Location: McCann Campus, Macclesfield (Hybrid/Remote working)
We are looking for a mid level Social Media Designer to work on one of the most exciting retail brands in the UK.
The Part You’ll Play as Social Designer…
We are looking for an experienced digital/social creative to create campaigns that live in social but go beyond the platforms and become part of popular culture. You will work with our creative teams to develop creative ideas that gets everyone talking on social media. You will champion social creative excellence, upskill the team and push the boundaries of creative output for the department.
Our client is the epitome of a challenger brand. As such, they want the creative teams to come up with things that scare them [a little] and will get the brand talked about. You will have licence to come up with concepts that perhaps wouldn’t be possible for other corporate clients.
As part of the McCann LIVE UK team, the social designer will have the backing of one of the UK’s largest and most awarded networks. You will work with a wider dedicated social creative and planning team. You will need to come up with social specific ideas and create the content for those ideas.
We don’t need someone to make ads, but someone to create cultural moments.
As Social Designer You’ll Bring…
The Social Designer should have a decent sense of comedy, know what people love on social and know how to tap into popular cultural trends. Their ideas will stop thumbs, make people smile and be shared across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
You should be able to demonstrate:
A passion and understanding of social and the social platforms.
An expert knowledge of what works on different social channels.
Experience of collaboration with a wider integrated team.
Excellent skills in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, InDesign, XD and Illustrator. After effects would be useful but isn’t essential.
A portfolio of similar work to be able to demonstrate your experience and knowledge.
Experience working with or for high profile consumer brands – retail experience would be particularly advantageous
