About the role of Social Media Monitor
We’re looking for a digital native with watertight writing skills that knows there’s more to interweb LOL and cats.
You’ll be responsible for monitoring and managing social media profiles on behalf of our clients – knowing what’s trending and listening to what people are tweeting and posting about our clients, as well as where the right opportunities are to take brands into live online conversations and stories.
We are looking for someone who can spot opportunities for engaging conversations on social, develop a calendar of content as well as respond to questions and queries in just the right way.
And whether you’re talking to twentysomethings on a night out or thirtysomething foodie aficionados in search of the latest thing, we want someone who can naturally switch between a range of voices and audiences.
What skills do you need?
•Ideally you can write like a demon and get your head around a variety of different brand TOV
•You’re a social junkie with the eye bags and twitter habit to prove it.
•A good working knowledge of social media platforms, how they work and how they fit together.
•Well organised with good attention to detail
•You’re interested in how people talk about their favourite (and least favourite) brands on social platforms and you have an opinion about which platforms are right for each of our clients.
•You know how to show an online community some love.
•You’re a bit of a culture junkie – from Britain’s Got Talent to Newsnight, you’re driven to keep on top of things.
What experience do you need?
•Experience of managing social media accounts is vital – this could be for clients, for a mate’s band or even your own – we’re happy to see enthusiastic starters who can prove they ‘get it’.
•A natural curiosity for learning about how and why people share stuff as well as the platforms they use to do it.
Please note, there will be some hours of weekend working needed on a rota basis.
