Talon has a great opportunity for a bright, confident individual with a strategic and analytical mind to come in at a manager or director-level position within our growing Data and Strategy team. This role will make an important contribution to supporting the team’s mission to deliver Talon’s smarter as standard thinking and create, deliver and sell effective campaign solutions to our clients and agencies. The successful candidate must be a team player and have strong communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to prioritise workloads and work to deadlines whilst maintaining a high quality of work and attention to detail, as well as building great relationships, is a must.
Deliver strategic planning input across Talon’s agency and client portfolio.
Be an advocate for best practice planning and smart campaign solutions.
Take responsibility for challenging and reframing client briefs. Identify opportunities for cross-channel integration. Craft compelling arguments to support and sell OOH recommendations.
See big ideas through. Work with internal and external partners to ensure thinking comes to life.
Demonstrate a passion for data, technology and emerging opportunities.
Develop a thorough understanding of Talon’s audience targeting, campaign optimisation and measurement capabilities.
Become a super user of Talon’s proprietary data management platform.
Collaborate with the team’s analysts and Talon’s campaign planners to devise and deliver data-driven planning and measurement initiatives.
Confidently articulate new opportunities and contribute to growing and evolving our clients’ use of out-of-home advertising.
Participate in working groups to shape the future of Talon's technology and planning solutions.
Build strong working relationships and collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners.
Motivate and mentor colleagues from across the Talon business.
Build effective relationships with key clients and agencies. Stay connected to their business.
Engage with media and technology partners to develop and deliver innovative OOH solutions.
Play an active role in new business initiatives; creating, presenting and delivering bold and innovative campaign strategies.
Keep up to date with, and form opinions on, the latest marketing & media developments. Contribute to thought-pieces and articulate thinking in internal/external presentations.
Skills & Experience:
Solid skills in the core areas of planning from audience data analysis, developing insights and building a planning strategy through to research and effectiveness.
Experience and/or in-depth knowledge of cross-channel media planning, including digital/online and the wider advertising landscape.
Experience and/or in-depth knowledge of out-of-home media planning and market dynamics is preferred but not essential.
Prior experience in dealing with high profile brands and advertisers.
