Creative Industries Council appoints IPA’s Hull onto Board

Janet’s appointment follows years of working closely with the CIC, particularly on their annual Createch Conference, and complements her role as the Chair of Promote UK.

The CIC has representation from all sectors of the UK creative industries - including film, fashion, music, video games and advertising – as well as three key Government Departments. It works with Government to promote the success of the UK creative industries and sustain the international pipeline of creative and business collaborations allowing UK creative sectors to thrive.

Commenting on her appointment, Janet Hull OBE said: “It is a real honour to have been selected to join the Board of the Creative Industries Council. The Council does fantastic work delivering on the Creative Industries Sector Deal: helping to build the profile and export and inward investment opportunities that are the lifeblood of all of the UK creative industries.

We have some of the brightest creative minds in the world working in our industry and it is a privilege to be able to join the Council and collaborate across all sectors for sustainable and profitable outcomes.”

The IPA’s first involvement with the CIC came in 2012, when then IPA President Nicola Mendelsohn became the Industry Co-Chair of the Council.
