Wanted. Inspirational inclusivity idols

Nominate yourself, a colleague or anyone pushing our industry to be better.

We are searching for the most inspirational, inclusive and irrepressible role models in our industry to join the IPA iList 2022.

You can nominate yourself, a colleague or anyone pushing our industry to be better for the iList before the entry deadline on 21 January 2022. Entries are free, and open to all agency employees - at any level - who are championing inclusivity within their agency and/or within the work they are producing.

Shortlisted nominees will then be interviewed by some of the biggest names in DE&I from across the industry, chaired by IPA President Julian Douglas, before a celebration in May 2022.

The iList 2022 judging panel includes:

  • Julian Douglas, IPA President and Vice-Chairman, VCCP
  • Liz Barnsdale, Managing Director, Accenture Interactive
  • Ete Davies, Chief Executive Officer, Engine
  • Jerry Daykin, Global Media & Digital Marketing Leader, GSK
  • Annie Gallimore, Managing Director, ACNE London and Chair of the IPA Talent Leadership Group
  • Jan Gooding, Chair, Given
  • Vicki Holgate, Executive Strategy Director (Government Comms) at MullenLowe London
  • Pinky Lilani CBE DL, Founder and Chairman of Women of the Future
  • Lisa Sampson, Global Media & Digital Marketing Leader, Lloyds Banking Group
  • Nipa Shah, Senior Global Brand Director, Unilever
  • Paul Stevenson, Ambassador, Genius Within

The iList, which celebrated its inaugural 30 trailblazers in 2020, aims to galvanise the industry into becoming a more inclusive, diverse place to work by celebrating and  giving a platform to the role models who are changing our industry for the better.

Through the iList, we want to build a community of like-minded leaders and provide a platform to share best practices and innovative ideas to help others find solutions to their own D&I concerns. I urge you to nominate yourself or someone you know so we can highlight the real heroes who work tirelessly behind the scenes and to share stories that others can learn from, borrow, copy or incorporate easily. Even the act of completing the application will help in accelerating change to tackle one of our industry’s greatest issues.

Julian Douglas, IPA President, Vice-Chairman of VCCP and Chair of Judges for the iList 2022

Says Liz Barnsdale, Managing Director, Accenture Interactive: "The only way we’ll drive true inclusion & diversity in the creative industry is if we fundamentally challenge the system of our industry. To do that we need leaders who have the energy, vision and ideas to make the change happen. iList exists to raise up these leaders in our industry who are determined to do the hard work it takes to ensure everyone feels they belong."
