New IPA President Sarah Golding is to lead the advertising session of Createch 2017, a multi-industry event designed to chart the emerging Createch sector and the UK’s role in the interaction of creativity and technology worldwide.
The conference on June 13th during London Technology Week brings together international leaders in retail, healthcare, sport, entertainment, and other industries with challengers deploying tech-enabled creativity to disrupt and evolve sectors.
The event aims to define Createch and its uses more rigorously, identify its potential to drive economic growth, and set out the global opportunity for the UK’s Createch businesses.
As part of her ‘Magic and the Machines’ Presidential agenda, Golding will chair the Createch 2017 segment on the potential for Createch to innovate advertising and add value to the wider economy.
As part of her Presidency, Golding has pledged to maximise the potential of automation and machine-learning to enhance the advertising industry, whilst protecting it from technology’s dark side.
Says Golding: “The machines are our new colleagues in the creative industries as automation impacts all our lives. Createch 2017 is an opportunity for us in the advertising industry to show that we are embracing what the machines can do for agencies and the advertisers and brands that we serve.”
During the event, leaders from the BBC, Microsoft, Facebook, Harper Collins and others will share the stage with Createch pioneers, entrepreneurs, creatives, and representatives of Britain’s pre-eminent creative industries organisations.
Sessions will cover virtual reality, artificial intelligence, augmented reality and other developments impacting creative disciplines and wider society.

Createch 2017 is hosted by the Creative Industries Council in association with Facebook, the Department for International Trade, and Tech London Advocates.
