Snapchat, Amazon and DoubleClick are among 39 entries in the running for the 2017 IPA Media Owner and Ad:tech Awards, which reward best practice from online media owners and ad tech companies. In total of 21 companies and 11 individuals have been shortlisted.
This year the IPA have expanded the awards, formerly known as the Media Owner Awards, in recognition of the greater role ad technology partners are playing in the market., New awards for Best Ad:tech Partner and Best Ad:tech Company will join the existing awards ranging from Most Innovative Media Owner and Best at Cross-Media to Unsung Hero of the Year.
Seven awards are based on the findings of the IPA’s survey of media owners, inventory suppliers and ad tech suppliers (a combination of spring, autumn and year-on-year survey results) and seven awards are selected by a panel of judges.

This shortlist provides a definitive list of who is going above and beyond to consistently deliver outstanding work for our industry, and it is great to see such a mixture of traditional and digital media owners and ad:tech companies shortlisted.”
