The Union’s Kyle Hardie dies at 47

The IPA have been deeply saddened to learn of the passing of The Union Advertising Agency Managing Director Kyle Hardie following a battle with cancer.

Kyle worked tirelessly for the industry, serving on the IPA Scotland Group and Effectiveness Forum for several years, and will be sorely missed.

IPA Scotland Chair James Pais said: “Scottish Advertising has lost one of its most inspiring, dedicated and truly amazing characters with the passing of The Union’s MD Kyle Hardie.

“He was a wonderful man who gave so much of his time and support to the IPA Group meetings here in Scotland, and passionately believed in the work that he did with both the Union and the IPA. I will personally miss his humour, positivity and caring nature, as will all those who had the pleasure of working with him.

“Our thoughts go out to his wife Alison and their daughter Ailsa and to all the staff at the Union. Rest in Peace my friend.”

Kyle’s funeral will be on Friday April 27 at Mortonhall Crematorium at 10am with the reception to follow at the Glen Golf Club in North Berwick.
