UK-Chatham: Bus Shelter Advertising 2019

Notice Abstract
Bus Shelter Advertising 2019 Medway Council is seeking to award an income generating contract to a suitably experienced and competent supplier for the operation of an advertising concession. The successful bidder shall also provide a cleaning and maintenance service at zero cost to Medway Council for all 348 bus shelters in the Medway region and any new shelters subsequently added to the Medway network. A portion of the revenue generated shall be paid to Medway Council and will be detailed by the bidder in their subsequent tender response documents. This is to be determined by the bidder and would be in the form of a guaranteed annual income. Additional shelters may be added to the estate over time. There are a total of 348 bus shelters in the Medway region. There are 184 Medway Council owned bus shelters (including 9 demised to the existing Contractor, Clear Channel). A further 165 are owned and operated by the existing Contractor, Clear Channel, under a contract that is in place until September 2018. The concession contract comprises the supply of advertising units, whether affixed to bus shelters or as free-standing replacement shelters, at existing designated sites throughout the Medway region (including Chatham Waterfront Bus Station). The council will not provide a budget for the delivery of these services and the scope is expected to be fulfilled from the revenue generated from advertising. Medway Council will not be funding the capital investment for bus shelters in relation to any advertising assets and these shall be met by the successful bidder. Keywords Advertising, Bus Shelter
