    Business growth

There’s a wealth of information and inspiration available for member agencies on our driving business growth hub, including links to relevant courses, qualifications and publications, as well as to highlights of our ever-popular annual Business Growth Conference.

    New business

We provide member agencies with four simple steps to help them protect their intellectual property, ideas and concepts presented during the pitch process. These steps include entering into a pre-pitch NDA with the potential client and registering any pitch work online with the IPA Pitch Protection Scheme.

    Agency profile page

Each member agency has its own profile page to promote itself to clients and talent. It’s well worthwhile for members to update their pages regularly as the A-Z list of IPA member agencies and our Agency Finder map are among the most popular sections on our website.

    IPA Member Agency Toolkit

We have developed a set of digital assets and comms, including an IPA Member Agency logo, to highlight the benefits to clients of working with an IPA Member Agency. The toolkit is free to download (member login required).

Helping member agencies to create and deliver value

    Consumer & media research

When it comes to accessing industry currency data, member agencies can benefit from substantial discounts on subscriptions to BARB, JICRIT/J-ET and PAMCo, as well as to TouchPoints, the IPA’s unique, consumer-centric, multi-media database, which is an invaluable aid to campaign planning.

    Benchmark Surveys

We carry out Benchmark Surveys among our members to provide member agencies’ management teams with the information to benchmark themselves against comparable agencies in relation to a number of financial and HR-related factors.

    Insight

The IPA Insight Centre, with its range of premium research tools, can provide data and analysis to help with member agencies’ new business pitches, campaign planning and internal brainstorming. Also available is the team’s library of special reports.

    Effectiveness

Our Effectiveness Hub is where member agencies can keep up-to-date with our latest events and thought leadership on the core theme of demonstrating return on marketing investment. There are brand films and case studies, publications and qualifications, as well as advice on entering the prestigious biennial IPA Effectiveness Awards.

    Thought leadership

Our thought leadership publications are designed to inform and inspire with exciting new thinking. We also publish regular surveys, such as the quarterly Bellwether Report on client spending intentions, and our Knowledge Centre houses our range of best practice publications. Member agencies can also benefit from a 10% discount on subscriptions to WARC.com, including renewals (though please note that this discount cannot be claimed retrospectively or in addition to any existing discounts).

    Events

The IPA hosts a wide range of events – including our annual Business Growth Conference and EffWorks Global, as well as our long-running 44 Club – to showcase new work, research and ideas. When open, our Belgrave Square meeting rooms are available for member agencies to hire at discounted rates for their own events or away-days.

    Groups and committees

The IPA runs a number of groups and committees for member agencies. These focus on different aspects of agency life, and they help to formulate new R&D projects, events, courses, qualifications and best practice guidance.

Helping member agencies to recruit and retain talent

    Diversity and inclusion

The IPA is committed to opening the industry’s doors to new talent, monitoring diversity and championing inclusivity in the industry. Find out more about our many talent initiatives on our talent and diversity pages.

Within the four-level structure of Foundation, Essentials, Advanced and Excellence, there’s a wide range of courses and qualifications, which provide the pathway for individuals to achieve MIPA accreditation.
