The IPA is celebrating the thirty-six agencies that have achieved CPD Gold Accreditation for their exceptional professional development programmes, and outstanding investment in the professional development and wellbeing of their employees throughout 2022.
This year marks the 15th year of the IPA CPD Gold scheme, which was introduced to recognise and reward agencies who demonstrate a genuine culture of learning, bettering the professionalism, development and reputation of the industry and enhancing clients’ brands and agencies’ worth as a result.
Following a challenging year, CPD Gold agencies continued to make the business case for investing in learning and development. On average, the CPD Gold agencies earned £5.42 return on every £1 invested in learning and development in 2022. On average, they also retained 96% of clients, won 70% of pitches and saved £256,594 on recruitment costs with an average staff retention of 78%. Key lessons from this year’s CPD Gold agencies about how to prioritise a culture of learning during difficult times will be explored as part of the CPD Gold celebratory event on Thursday 8 June.

"Being Chair of Judges for this year’s IPA CPD Gold programme has been a very valuable experience. While there is still work to do, as a society we now understand much more about the importance of mental health and inclusive workplace cultures than in recent years. There are a huge number of amazing, dedicated people working in advertising agencies to nurture, motivate and develop their people. It has been a privilege to learn more about the programmes they have put in place that are helping to make real progress - for people, purpose, and profit."
Achieving CPD Gold and Platinum is no mean feat. You have to deliver an incredible CPD programme and also clearly demonstrate the value of your commitment to people in making a successful business for the future. Huge congratulations to all of this year’s agencies; you have proved without a doubt that CPD is worth its weight in Gold.
