IPA 44 Club Comedy Night

Looking for some light relief? Looking for a much-needed laugh? Why not join us at our upcoming IPA 44 Club where the best up-and-coming comedians on the British circuit are all set to tickle our funny bones.

We’ve all seen the recent studies that show humour makes ads more memorable, and therefore more effective. And yet, its use has been on the decline since the financial crisis in 2008. With increasing global uncertainty and polarisation, when better to bring laughter, spontaneity and some fun back to the consumer (and the creative process)? 

To give you some inspiration, the re-launched IPA 44 Club is excited to present an event featuring three talented comedians who will amuse, entertain and hopefully help reignite your humour spark.

Patrick Spicer

Patrick Spicer

Patrick Spicer is a stand-up comedian and comic actor quickly making a name for himself with a distinctively playful, relaxed stage presence and offbeat, unpredictable writing.His stand-up and sketch videos have gained over 10 million views across TikTok and Instagram, with over 40 thousand followers.

He was nominated for Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year and Chortle Best Newcomer and was a finalist in the Amused Moose National New Comic Award and Leicester Square Comedian of the Year.

As a writer and actor he has starred in dozens of online shorts featured on BBC3, BBC iPlayer and Channel 4 Online, as well as television roles including The Mash Report on BBC2.

Micky Overman

Micky Overman

Micky Overman is originally from the Netherlands, giving her a unique and fresh perspective on all things British, comedy and life. She moved to London to start stand-up comedy and quickly rose through the ranks, reaching the finals of both Funny Women and the Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year within a year. Not long after, she was a Chortle Best Newcomer nominee and wrote and performed her first solo show at the Edinburgh Festival.

Picked to be part of the prestigious Just For Laughs London New Faces showcase, she can be seen performing all over the UK. Internationally, she has played in the Netherlands, Germany, Estonia, Finland and Norway.

Rohan Sharma

Rohan Sharma

Rohan is a 25-year-old comedian with little to say and a lot of words to say it with. He has taken his unique brand of critically-assessed stand-up all over the UK and has written for Radio 4Extra. He is a 2Northdown New Act Finalist 2022, So You Think You’re Funny Finalist 2022 and came 3rd in the Max Turner Prize.

The 44 Club, which is named after the address of IPA HQ: 44 Belgrave Square, was first established in 1997, where it grew to be one of the hottest tickets in town, before closing its doors during lockdown. The club brings together the industry at informal, inspirational and social events, helping them build a valuable network of peers from across the business.
