The importance and the future of the creative industries

Join us in Manchester on Wednesday 21 May for the IPA England & Wales Members’ Reception with your fellow IPA member agencies.

This event will be hosted by James Ray, CEO of Armadillo and IPA Chair for England & Wales. James will introduce his IPA agenda, after which he and Sue Benson, Founder & CEO of The Behaviours Agency and IPA City Head for Manchester, will be in conversation with Dave Moutrey OBE, Director of Culture and Creative Industries for Manchester City Council. Their discussion will focus on the importance of the creative industries to Manchester and the UK as a whole.

It will also be an excellent opportunity to network with your friends and peers in other IPA member agencies.

In conversation with

  • Dave Moutrey OBE, Director of Culture and Creative Industries, Manchester City Council. 
    Dave is responsible for Manchester City Council’s cultural and creative industries policy and strategy, working closely with the city’s cultural and creative sectors on joint initiatives. Formerly the Director and Chief Executive of HOME, the Manchester centre for international contemporary arts, theatre and film which opened in 2015, he is a BAFTA member, a Fellow of the RSA and a member of the Chartered Management Institute. He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the University of Salford in 2018 and an OBE for services to culture in 2022.
