Former Head of Brand and Marketing Communications Strategy at Visa

Neil brings experience from both agency and client side where he has focused on blending together data with primary and secondary research to ensure companies are using their data repositories as a corporate resource. With a single-minded ambition to deliver business impact and sustainable competitive advantage.
A proven strategic thinker with a rare mix of; communications, data, business strategy and marketing experience he is passionate about companies maximising the use of the data they have collected.
He spent 13 years at Visa in Europe, leading several marketing disciplines including: communication planning, marketing strategy and operations, brand strategy and research and analytics.
Prior to this he held planning roles in agencies and consultancies for almost twenty years. Starting out with Urban Science and finally at Wunderman where he delivered planning within Enfatico, the integrated agency model servicing Dell.
He states that “it is critical for companies to have three data components; access to data, the skills to exploit data and the culture to listen to data.” The accreditation will improve the overall standards of our industry and provide greater efficiencies alongside improved performance. Both are critical to making our industry that little bit more sustainable.
He inspires the people around him with his straightforward, no-nonsense approach to marketing and business. He is delighted to be part of the judging team.
