Business Development Manager – CREATIVE STUDIOS

Hours: Part Time (22.5 hours per week) although full time would be considered for the right applicantt
Reports to: Head of J11
Start Date: ASAP
Based at our Banbury Creative Studio (J11)

The Role:

As BDM you will be joining a dynamic commercial team, which is responsible for the promotion and growth of our offer.

You will deliver the prospecting activity of the team, with a core focus on lead generation across the service portfolio - identifying, targeting and engaging potential new clients for the business, as well as re-engaging a number of lapsed contacts.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in consultative selling and have a talent for building and nurturing relationships.


Knowledge/Experience/Skills Needed:

• A proven track record in B2B sales and/or account management, preferably within a creative agency or production company
• Understanding of the marketing mix
• Working knowledge of social media channels and best practice (Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn)
• Photography and film production knowledge is preferred but not essential
• CRM experience is beneficial but not mandatory
• Strong Microsoft experience – Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook all a must
• Good research skills – lateral thinking and social savvy
• Ability to plan, prioritise and work on own initiative
• Ability to communicate well in writing, on the phone and in person
• Good attention to detail
• Results orientated and resilient
• Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised as well as part of a larger team
• A positive, confident and pro-active attitude


Role Responsibilities:

• DM campaign management - campaign creation, delivery and follow up
• Management of a quarterly e-newsletter - preparation of stories and thought pieces, content creation, production and distribution and follow up analysis
• Networking at suitably identified exhibitions and events
• Attendance at credentials and briefing meetings, when required
• Maintaining the prospecting database, including data input and de-duplication (training will be given)
• Undertaking prospect and competitor research
• Updating the J11 website ensuring content is up-to-date and accurate
• Ensuring all intermediary websites are updated

Key Deliverables:

• To meet/exceed agreed lead generation targets
• Executing the agreed Sales and Marketing plan
• Attendance at weekly status meetings
• Sales forecast reporting
• Analysing and reporting on the effectiveness of marketing activity
• To build knowledge of business development principles
• Speaking with decision makers within both agencies and brands
• Engaging with potential clients to better understand their needs and businesses
• Promoting a range of services to specific sectors from an agreed database
• To work closely with the Head of J11 and other colleagues at all levels in the business

The Package

Total Reward Package

• Up to £35K + FTE (£21,000 60% pro rata)
• 35 days' holiday (inclusive of BH's and Agency Christmas Closure) full time equivalent
