Job Description:

The Head of Design and development directly supports the Group Account Director in the management and implementation of client projects. They will have primary ownership and control over the Design and Development team, managing client work and revenue. They will play a key role in managing the agency’s response to invitations to pitch and assist with the pitch process internally, ensuring brand values and solutions are pitched with a deep understanding of the agency`s products and services. They will work collaboratively with the other department heads.


Key Responsibilities:

Translating the technology and design requirement of the brief to deliver a solution that is able to deliver on the client’s ambitions and expectations
Overseeing and testing the technological robustness of both the front and back end technologies, with sufficient mastery of both,

Working with clients during the planning & scoping phase of the projects, reviewing plans, updating of progressing and revising time and costs as required.

Working closely with developers and designers to bring mock-ups and wireframes from development stage to delivery: coding, building, analysing, and maintaining websites.

Focused on the personal and professional development of their team

Scoping out and determining the feasibility of producing final creative work in a variety of media.

Sourcing quotes and producing estimates for work to be produced.
Negotiating with external suppliers

Ensuring the correct licensing of material across all formats and locations within agreed timings.

Maintaining quality standards across the production of all development and creative work.

Reporting progress of all work and any anticipated deviation from planned timings and costs.

Holding regular reviews and having accountability for deadlines, while influencing other stakeholders to support successful outcomes.

Improving the Workflow process; efficient streamlining whilst maintaining the highest quality output.

Trafficking/ tracking jobs, from beginning to end, by resource, ensuring productivity and profitability can be reviewed and developed.

Maintaining the Digital Assets, creating and maintaining the online photo library and naming conventions.

Managing all jobs for release to third parties.

Involved in recruitment and selection decisions

The Package

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
