What does a New Business & Marketing Manager do at M.i. Media?
A New Business & Marketing Manager would play a key role in the growth of the M.i. Media business. Supporting the Business Director they will be responsible for implementing the new business and marketing strategy for the business. In effect, doing for M.i. what we do for our clients; accelerating growth.
The role will cover several strands from feeding our new business funnel, to nurturing our partners, guiding our team in delivering great content and award entries along with managing our events.
We would expect a New Business & Marketing Manager to immerse themselves in the M.i. business, understand what makes us brilliant and use that to drive our growth. Equally we like to be challenged, and there is always the opportunity to feed into how to make the company even better.
What qualities does a New Business & Marketing Manager need at M.i. Media?

What experience and skills are required?
A New Business & Marketing Manager at M.i. Media would ideally have either a media agency / digital agency or creative agency background and understand the industry we work in.
They would have some experience either in marketing from content development to design or new business pitching or both.
Given the nature of a role, someone that builds relationships with ease, is approachable and professional is essential. They will be a key face representing the business.
They will need the ability to multitask; manage multiple deadlines and different (often senior) stakeholders at once.
We have big growth ambitions, and as an instrumental person in delivering this they will need to be enthusiastic, positive and ambitious.
Bonus points for:
- client experience within the financial services, ecommerce, and DTC sectors
- experience managing video as well as written / visual content
The role would involve the following day to day responsibilities amongst others:
Prospecting
• Understanding our new business targets and proactively suggesting ways in which to achieve them
• Researching and speaking up when uncovering new potential opportunities
• Using our tools to assist in development of target lists, timelines and strategies
• Partner research and partner development strategy support
Marketing
• Website content management
• Social media management
• Content project management – managing timelines, supporting writers, editing
• Case study project management
• Award entry project management
• Event support
• Idea generation for event, content and awards strategies and website projects
