PR Account Executive

Job description

We are looking for a highly organised and methodical individual to join our ever-growing B2B agency as a PR Account Executive. This is an exciting role within our PR team working across a broad range of exciting and innovative sectors.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a multi award-winning, talented, creative and friendly PR team. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced agency environment offering crucial support to a wide variety of clients ranging from international market leaders to challenger brands. You will also be exposed to a hugely diverse set of industries and people – from the ESG and sustainability space to genetic research and healthcare, and from hospitality, aerospace, fintech to automotive and green technology.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Providing day to day support to the PR team across a portfolio of accounts
- Supporting multi-channel PR campaigns targeted at B2B audiences in the UK and internationally
- Writing first drafts of content which can include press releases, media pitches, case studies, by-lined articles, blogs and social posts
- Using and developing your media relations skills to identify the right media targets
- Working with the team to earn coverage and secure future editorial opportunities for clients
- Generating regular reports to show the media coverage achieved
- Day to day account organisation to include keeping status planners up to date and contributing to status reports, building and managing media lists; collating media coverage and generating regular reports to show the media coverage achieved
- Communicating effectively with key clients, giving them confidence in the work that we are delivering
- Supporting colleagues to fulfil their responsibilities so that work stays on track
- Supporting client growth and new business opportunities with research and ideas
- Working with other teams across the wider agency to deliver campaign elements beyond PR

Experience / skills required

- Some PR experience in either B2B or B2C
- A PR or journalism degree, or equivalent, is also desirable but not essential
- A keen interest in the news, media and trending topics
- Creative writing ability
- Social media savvy
- Proactive and self-motivated
- High attention to detail
- A team player who shares ideas in a collaborative working environment
- Personable and confident when dealing with colleagues in the PR team and wider agency as well as clients and suppliers
- Strong and methodical approach to organisation, prioritisation and meeting deadlines
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes
- Due to some client work being delivered internationally being fluent in another language is desirable but not essential
