IPA partners with CISL to offer best-in-class sustainable marketing training

IPA Excellence in Sustainable Marketing Management

The IPA has partnered with the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) to offer its members comprehensive training to help them rethink the role of marketing in sustaining people and the planet.

The IPA Excellence in Sustainable Marketing Management course is delivered by CISL across eight weeks of online, tutor-led learning which explores the complexities of brand strategy, consumption behaviour, greenwashing and marketing’s carbon footprint as well as practical strategies for positive change.

Throughout the course, delegates will articulate their ambition for change and deliver a personal Strategy for Action to immediately drive meaningful transformation in their work.

IPA members can claim a 20% discount on the IPA Excellence in Sustainable Marketing Management course and can tune into a taster webinar on Tuesday, 17 March with co-head tutor Paul Randle.

Commenting on the partnership:

Indre Dragunaite, Associate Director, Global e-Learning, IPA, said:

“As an industry, we need to fully understand our role in the climate crisis, both in terms of the practicalities of making adverts and how we can influence positive change in the general public. That’s why we are delighted to partner with CISL to offer our members the very best in sustainability marketing training through the IPA Excellence in Sustainable Marketing Management course.”

CISL Spokesperson said:

"CISL is delighted to partner with IPA to deliver our sustainable marketing education programme. It comes as the pressure mounts on marketers and their agencies to rethink brand, customer and commercial value in a world disrupted by climate change, social breakdown and extractive, untethered consumption. The course educates a new generation of marketing leaders who are reforming the industry to be a force for good in shaping behaviours in the interest of people, nature and climate."

The partnership with CISL to bring their Sustainable Marketing, Communications and Brand Management course to IPA members is just part of the IPA commitment to providing best-in-class learning on sustainable advertising.

The IPA Sustainability Essentials Certificate, which builds on the success of the Ad Net Zero Essentials Certificate will launch later this year to provide IPA members of all levels with an understanding of their responsibilities and place in a sustainable marketing and advertising ecosystem.
