MullenLowe Group named Effectiveness Network of Year at IPA Awards

Effectiveness Network of the Year goes to the agency brand with at least two winning papers from at least two agency offices that accumulates the most judging points.

MullenLowe Group was named Effectiveness Network of the Year at the 2020 IPA Effectiveness Awards, picking up the coveted prize after winning three Awards. The win was announced at a virtual awards ceremony this evening (Monday 12 October).

MullenLowe Group took home three Bronze Awards across entries from MullenLowe London, MullenLowe Open and Mediahub UK, and were shortlisted for every entry that they entered into the 2020 Awards.

In a joint entry with the7stars, MullenLowe London helped wagamama target ‘Urban Butterflies’ with distinctive cinema ads, delivering 440,000 incremental customers in 2019, with an advertising return of £10.80 per £1 invested. MullenLowe London were also awarded Bronze for a cross MullenLowe Group entry, working with MullenLowe Open and Mediahub UK on NHS England’s ‘We Are the NHS’ campaign, which has driven over 10,000 applications to for NHS jobs and reduced the cost per applicant.

MullenLowe Group’s final Award of the evening was for MullenLowe London’s work with Independent Inquiry into Childhood Sexual Abuse (IICSA) and Bray Leino which helped establish the Truth Project as a safe space, leading to a four-fold increase in the numbers of adult survivors of child sexual abuse who have shared their personal experiences over a two-year period.

The Special Prize for Effectiveness Network of the Year goes to the agency brand with at least two winning papers from at least two agency offices that accumulates the most judging points.

The IPA Effectiveness Awards are the world’s most rigorous and prestigious Awards scheme with entrants having to prove the payback of their communications activity. In total five gold, six silver and 14 bronze prizes, along with 10 special prizes, were awarded to companies internationally, including in Australia, Canada, mainland Europe and the UK.
