Strategy Bootcamp Essentials Course

A MIPA workshop unpacking what strategy really is.

In-person course course on understanding what strategy really is. The course is action-packed, interactive and creative and you’ll learn by listening, but also by doing, thinking and debating.

This course has now sold out. You can still book on to the virtual version running in October, or sign up to this interest list to be notified when new dates open for bookings.

Who is the course for?

Anyone who works in strategy, most obviously account handlers and planners, from any kind of agency. But anyone, whatever their specialism, who appreciates the importance of strategy will benefit from this course. Industry newcomers are advised to wait until they’re a year in to get the most out of it.

Content

Strategy is actually very simple. We’ll de-mystify its sometimes rarefied and forbidding aura, and put it in layman’s terms. You’ll benefit from something that’s real and practical that you can use every single day and feel comfortable discussing with your peers or your CEO.

The course is action-packed, interactive and creative. You’ll learn by listening, but also by doing, thinking and debating. Before the course you’ll be asked to do some preparation. Pick a piece of communication (any channel, any medium) and work out what you think the strategy is. We’ll discuss everyone’s example as a group and by sharing, learn from each other.

At the end of the course you’ll:

  1. Understand what strategy really is and isn’t.
  2. Have a simple set of tools you can use to develop a great strategy for your client, whatever the media channel (or channels).

There is an optional assignment following the course, based on the content covered.  Passing this will merit delegates with one MIPA star.
