Planning Executive - entry level

Job description

Are you solving the right problem? Or just the obvious one?
That's the kind of question we ask every day at December19. We're The Bigger Question Agency, and we're looking for someone who thinks the same way.

This role is entry-level in name only - from day one, you'll be right in the thick of it: supporting the delivery of strategically-led campaigns, keeping the operational engine running smoothly, and contributing to the kind of thinking that genuinely moves the needle for our clients.

You'll work closely with our planning team, learning the craft of media planning across channels, and developing the interrogation instinct that defines how we work.

You'll take on the admin too and you'll bring a curious mind to data: not just what the numbers say, but what they're actually telling you.

What We're Looking For
We'll teach you the day-to-day job and will fully support you on your learning journey - what we can't teach is attitude, curiosity, and the willingness to ask why, so here’s what the mindset we would like to see:
• You're into media and brands. You want to know more and understand how it all works.
• You like getting into the numbers. Interrogating the data around until you find what's really going on
• You're good with people. You listen, you collaborate, and you enjoy teamwork
• You have a strong ability to organise and stay on top of things. Busy days, lots of moving parts isn’t daunting for you
• You like to interrogate – if something doesn’t make sense, you’re happy to ask why
What We're Not Looking For
A particular degree, background or CV. We hire on merit, potential, and the ability to think. We want interrogators, not order-takers.

To Apply
Send your CV and a covering letter to [email protected]. Tell us why you want to start your career in media, what draws you to December19. Most importantly, show us how you think. Please write this yourself.

The Package

Salary from £28,500 - £32,000

The Agency

December19 is The Bigger Question Agency. We believe "that'll do" won't do. We challenge briefs, interrogate assumptions, and push strategic thinking further than most agencies are willing to go. It's what's earned us a strong reputation in the industry and a host of awards, including IPA Effectiveness, Thinkbox Grand Prix and both Campaign and Sunday Times Best Places to Work.
We're a boutique agency with big ambitions: growing with our existing clients and building the kind of visibility that attracts new ones. If you're someone who asks why, pushes back, and wants to shape strategy rather than just execute it, you'll fit right in.
