Senior Account Director Role

The Senior Account Director is responsible for leading and shaping the client account team working on either retained or project work for clients to ensure the clients are profitable and growing. You will be responsible for meeting the client’s goals and organising the resources to ensure work is delivered to a high standard, within budget and on time.

Client Relationship and Management Skills

An excellent understanding of the agency resources required to deliver best in class CRM programmes and projects for Clients

An excellent understanding of revenue realisation and how to actively look for development opportunities to deliver incremental value

Excellent ability to develop strong client relationships, by identifying their business and marketing needs for CRM/Data, Brand, Comms, DM, Planning and Digital

Excellent ability to develop campaign and creative briefs for client sign off, creating campaign reports and case studies

Owning the management of client budgets and time sheet reconciliations, as well as other financial management and reporting

Leading washup and post campaign reviews in order to continually optimise processes and relationships

Lead quality assurance of CS peers - excellent understanding of quality assurance on all work going to clients to ensure it meets the brief objectives. Coach the team to review work and implement changes to a high level of accuracy.



Project Management Processes and Management

Excellent understanding of the project management processes

Drive and inspire the CS team members to drive their projects and overall effectiveness

Responsible for directing the CS team and assisting in overcoming challenges with key stakeholders (clients and peers)

Approving all scopes and timelines, and providing training where needed for peers

Driving strategic goals - work with the planners to interrogate client briefs and business challenges

Presentation and Communication Skills

Excellent communication skills and an enthusiastic approach to liaising with clients and training peers

Overseeing creative and task briefs to an excellent standard

Present all work with clear goal focused rationales with support

Lead collaboration with Design/Strategy/Data/Developers/Copywriters/Campaign Managers and support others

Leadership

Managing the careers and performance/ development of CS peers

Supporting with Client Service discipline recruitment alongside our recruitment team

Leading and solving work allocation/ resourcing to meet client commitments

Lead in sharing knowledge of your discipline through the agency - helping other teams understand what to do



Senior Account Director Requirements

3 years’ experience at Account Director level in an agency environment

Good understanding of data use in influencing campaigns

Demonstrable leadership qualities, managing teams, resources & client relationships

Industry knowledge of CRM channels - email, web, push, app (behaviour & technical)

Knowledge of CRM principles - affinity, loyalty, etc.

Skilled in utilising tools such as timesheet, scheduling and forecasting tools e.g.Trello, Harvest, Forecast and Smartsheets

Hybrid environment – 2 days in our central Bristol office / 3 days optional office/home working
