Profile

London-based, social-first creative agency Uncovered has been making a name for itself on the agency circuit since 2017, when co-founders Catherine Orr and Chris Cooksen decided to combine their skillsets in video and influencer marketing to help brands make content people want to watch.

Since then, they have built a team of 70 social natives – the average age of the team is 28 – whose ability to work at the intersection of culture and creativity has built an impressive portfolio of clients. Of the150 brands they have worked with this past year, key new business wins including KFC, Heinz, Disney and the Labour Party.

2024 was a significant year, seeing the agency refocus its growth strategy with the sale of TikTok page Caught Snackin’ to Joe Media. Uncovered launched this channel during the pandemic to avoid furloughing teams who couldn't make content in the studio. The agency also hired TikTok exec, Niusha Koucheksarai, as managing director, launched its VFX studio, became TikTok’s largest creative partner across the EU and grew revenue by 170%.

2025 has got off to a good start as well, with Uncovered adding Pukka Pies to the roster and beating We Are Social and Vayner Media to win Tesco's social media account. Now, the agency is starting to explore more opportunities in the US, with its sights set on doubling in size this year. But as it does, Catherine and Chris are mindful Uncovered does not lose the culture they have worked hard to create.

“It's really important we keep Uncovered true to what it has always been, while also scaling,” says Catherine. One of its core value lies in having diverse teams that allow Uncovered to look outside of the echo chamber and do culturally relevant work.

Uncovered has been putting its money where its mouth is. Four in 10 employees are from minority ethnic backgrounds, 60% of senior leadership are women, it has raised entry salaries above the London Living Wage for all employees and partnered with Resurgo to support young people into the industry.

“We have a lot of young talent – a high proportion of which it is their first professional job – so it’s very important that we nurture and grow the future talent of the industry.”
