Vega Comms has been on a fast trajectory of growth since it launched into the agency world in late 2022. Named after the original north star, Vega’s simple goal to challenge the traditional “restrictive” agency model has seen it treble in size year-on-year in terms of revenue and profitability, and establish a global client portfolio. 

With decades of combined experience in the senior leadership team, who have traded billions of pounds of media between them, it is perhaps no wonder Vega Comms has quickly gone from being seen as a challenger agency to a trusted global media partner.  

Key to this has been a focus on three distinct propositions: putting clients in control of their own deals, bringing strategy and execution closer together, and ensuring content, digital media and data do not operate in silos. 

At the helm of this fledgling agency are seven co-founders: Nick James, Alexia Harper, Liz Lavelle, Jon Hall, Ian Lees, Mark Jorgensen and Dave Lucas. They are in charge of a team of 28 and counting – most of whom are based in its Manchester HQ, but with a growing presence in Gibraltar, where it opened a second office in 2024. More locations and hires are on the horizon as Vega looks to ramp up its global presence. 

With a focus on brands spending £2-20m a year, some of Vega’s key clients include Mecca Bingo, Blake Mill and Grosvenor Casinos. Testament to its model, Vega delivered a TV campaign for one client, from concept to launch, in 15 days. 

More recently, the agency has been developing several of its own proprietary tools to further enhance client services. This includes trends predictions and a programmatic ecosystem, which is part live in a couple of international markets already. 

The wide-ranging skills, experience and network of its current team has laid the foundations for future growth.
