McCann Demand – Tick Tock, it’s Time for Timesheets: How memes turned an endemic business problem for ad agencies into a million-pound laughing matter

In early 2023, McCann Demand agency identified an alarming post-Covid trend towards late and inaccurate timesheets related to the rise of home working. This meant lost billable hours and lost agency revenue. The agency turned the power of creative thinking and behaviour change techniques on itself. By evolving an entertaining style of memes delivered via Teams messaging to prompt colleagues to submit their timesheets more frequently, more accurately, and more profitably, it is estimated the solution delivered more than £1m incremental revenue back to the agency.
