Quick Start programme aimed to attract younger women. There was a need to increase telephone or visit responses. TV, press and DM used to offer a free first lesson. DM was used for lapsed members. Results showed average age fell form 40 to 38, with an increase of 3% in the 16-24 bracket and 1% in 25-35 range. In January, recruits 60% above target while costs per recruit down by 47%, April achieved recruits 35% above target, costs 11% down, September showed recruits 12.9% above target, costs 1% down.
